What is 767?
767, the dialpad shortcode for SOS, is a free and easy to use app that connects users - victim or witness (passerby) - with first responders. The app is designed to alert, report, inform, monitor and by extension, avoid occurrences of unnecessary emergencies.
As a victim, how do I use 767?
Open the 767 app and select the option - Victim/Witness. Three options are displayed for you to choose from: Get Help, Find Unit and View Dangers.
As a responder, how do I use 767?
You have to first sign in to your account before you can access your dashboard. The dashboard grants you access to emergencies concerning your unit. Once an emergency is raised within your unit's location, your emergency tab is automatically updated with information about the emergency which you can either accept or decline. 767 further provides you with the option to view the emergency on a map.
As a responder, do I receive a notification when there is an emergency?
Yes. You are notified everytime there is an emergency within your unit's location.
I am not a victim neither am I a responder. How do I report an emergency?
767 provides the option to report an emergency either as a victim or as a witness. To report an emergency, simply select the VICTIM/WITNESS button on the start page.
I need information about an emergency unit. Does 767 offer this feature?
Yes. 767 comes with a "Find Unit" feature that helps users locate emergency responders.
Can do I view dangerous incidents in a particular location?
767 classifies violent incidence (such as armed robbery, gang clash, etc) and decaying infrastructure (such as bad road, dilapitated building, etc) as dangers. The "View Dangers" feature highlights potential danger spots within your location.
As a user, can I report incidents as dangers?
At the moment, only responders can mark locations as dangerous.
